Ulene (Hart) Taylor

Ulene Hart Taylor, age 94 of Laurel Springs, NC; passed away Saturday, March 30th, 2024 at Atrium Health Wilkes Medical Center in North Wilkesboro, NC.

Ulene was born April 29th, 1929 in Ashe County, NC to the late William David and Georgia Long Hart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Lafayette Taylor; a brother, William Parker Hart.

Ulene was a member of Laurel Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed flower gardening and playing rummy.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David and Sheila Taylor of Laurel Springs; three grandchildren: Daniel Taylor and wife Stacie, Tracy Taylor and wife Missy, Parker Taylor and partner, Natasha Hamm; four great-granddaughters: Summer, Danielle, Morgan and Myra; two great-grandsons: Noah and Nick; one great-great-grandson, Beau; a sister, Shirley Smith of Ennice; several nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service to honor the life of Ulene will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024 at Cranberry Cemetery in Laurel Springs with Pastor Danny Powell officiating. A meal for her family, her church family and friends will be held at Laurel Springs Baptist Church Fellowship Hall immediately following the service.
